Art & Photography Amsterdam Trip (11/15)

The Art department took 38 Fine Art & Photography Year 12/13 students on a wonderful trip to Amsterdam.  Students visited some of the best galleries and sights in the world including The Rijks Museum, The Eye Film Institute, The Van Gogh Museum and The Anne Frank Foundation to name just a few.

Students experienced the beautiful canals and architecture this vibrant city offered their cameras and sketchbooks whilst collecting valuable inspiration for their exhibition pieces of work.

We navigated the our way through to the famous Rembrandtplein square through busy streets avoiding the thousands of bicycles to become part of ’The Nightwatch’ which many of the students had studied.

On our return students made new work in response to their inspiring trip for our annual exhibition which was hugely successful, many students winning prizes for excellent work; among them Phoebe Hedges and Morgan Pitt.

Thank you to all of our wonderful parents for supporting the trip, our splendid students for being a joy to take with us and to our amazing Art staff for organising this trip and giving up so much of their own time to run it.
