We took 40 Year 9 students to Brunel University to help raise awareness of university life.
We took 40 Year 9 students to Brunel University to help raise awareness of university life.
The students listened to talks about making higher education choices giving them an insight into what they should be considering now and then had a presentation on what it is like to be a university student.
The day also involved a ‘Question and Answer’ panel giving the students an opportunity to find out more, followed by a quiz and a campus tour.
From the feedback gained, 92% of the students found the activities very or fairly useful and some of the comments included the following:
“I have always wanted to go to University and this has inspired me to look at Universities which are great for my options and strengths.”
“This has encouraged me to think more about my future and the possibilities.”
“I want to go more now!”
“It was very interesting and I enjoyed it.”
“I have learnt more about going there and I am more likely to visit or go to one when I’m older.”
