On Wednesday, 21st October we held the Year 11 Employability Day. The purpose of the day was to provide information to students to help them consider their next step, post 16. We had a few workshops running which included Apprenticeships, Taking A levels at our Sixth Form, being at University, running your own Business, Marketing and joining the Army.
We were also joined by a number of guests from various organisations such as Retail, Football, Armed Forces, Police, Medicine, Apprenticeship schemes and Further Education, to be part of our Careers Fair. It was a pleasure to see many of our ex students who also attended to be part of the Fair, or to run workshops.
Many of the students had a chance to have a 10 minute interview with skilled professional people and this proved to be a very popular part of the day.
The students came in business dress to give them the chance to feel like they were coming to work.
It was a very enjoyable day for the students and hopefully has provided them with further information about their future.
