Yr12 Students Explore Maths at Royal Holloway
A group of year 12 students were invited by Royal Holloway College, University of London, to attend a conference on ‘Exploring Mathematics’.
The intention was to raise awareness on applications of Math in real life situations and the fields of employment that are open to Maths graduates with their financial rewards. Later in the day the students explored the campus and listened to various lectures on topics that will be taught in university at degree level. The response from students was: “fantastic conference”, “Brilliant”, “happy I came today” and so on. Needless to say, all students who have attended the conference will be applying for Maths and other related university degree courses, such as Civil Engineering and Financial Analysis.
