Enrichment
At The Chalfont’s Community College, we do not view activities outside of the classroom as ‘extra’ curricular. For us, it is co-curricular as the activities, events, opportunities, and trips enhance and develop our students outside of the normal school day.
Each year group has access to a varied programme on a weekly basis. These activities allow students to enhance their learning whilst developing a passion for specific subjects. Opportunities to participate in sport and the performing arts are extensive but are by no means the only provision available. Science club, debating societies and study groups are just a sample of some of the other extra-curricular activities. Our extra-curricular opportunities also allow staff to share their knowledge of things they enjoy for example, Warhammer painting and cheerleading!
We are also pleased to offer students the opportunity to take part in a variety of trips ranging from local day visits to residential experiences in the UK and around the world, thus, enabling students to build a better understanding of the world around them.
Our extra-curricular activities timetable is regularly updated and there may be changes throughout the year. We encourage students to be pro-active and check with individual staff members for details.
We also support students in setting up clubs or societies; please speak to the relevant Year Leader for further information.
