Art
Art is a very popular option at Chalfonts Community College. Alongside the Art curriculum, there are many opportunities to get more involved in a range of creative activities. At Key Stage 3 there are regular Art and Digital Art Clubs, which are managed by the Year 10 Curriculum leaders who have created a wide programme of creative craft and photographic ideas to broaden students skills.
At Key stages 4 & 5 students have the opportunity to visit London galleries. Research in to artists past and present forms a vital part of both GCSE and A level courses. Looking at real works of art in a gallery setting is more meaningful than just browsing on the internet and students can gain vital information to assist them in meeting examination assessment objectives.
Students who opt to study A level Art or Photography also have the opportunity to take part in life drawing classes, London gallery trips and the departments annual art tour of a major european city.
