Post 16/18 Options

There are a variety of routes that students can take to progress towards careers of their choice, and we are keen to ensure students have information about all the options available to them.

Post-16, they might consider staying in full-time education in a School, Sixth Form college or University Technical College (UTC).  There is a range of qualifications, such as A Levels, BTECs, Vocational and Technical qualifications and T Level courses.

Post-18, students might consider doing a higher education level course – either full-time, part-time or by distance learning, at a university or a college, or an Intermediate, Advanced, Higher or Degree Apprenticeship.  They could also get a job that offers training, have a GAP year or do a vocational course at a Further Education College.

We also provide our Sixth Form students with support around UCAS applications, degree apprenticeships, attending assessment centres, interview skills, CV building and using LinkedIn. Although qualifications remain extremely important, they are no longer the only consideration when applying for roles. Employability skills are also an essential part of an application.
