Continuous Professional Development

High quality CPD is fundamentally important in our pursuit of supporting every student achieve their aspirational targets. As teachers and leaders, we all make a commitment to continue to reflect and seek to improve on our everyday practices, which will in turn impact in classrooms ensuring the progress and growth of our students and Academy as a whole.

The CPD programme is rigorous and personalised to respond to the needs of individual staff. The CPD programme offers opportunity for staff to meet and evidence the teacher standards as well as the experience to progress through tailored programmes that will engage them with the required skills and knowledge to secure future roles. The CPD programme ensures all deliverers are quality assured and provides the opportunity for staff to become trainers and coach staff on a weekly basis. All staff can record their development on their personal management page on our on School IP programme

We are also one of the strategic partner schools in the Herts and Bucks Teaching School Alliance. We play a lead role for the alliance with regard to In Service Teacher Training and Research and Development. We are also able to offer significant additional opportunities through this partnership that include accredited leadership training run by the National College for Teaching and Learning as well as opportunities to share best practice with partner schools.
